This thread is for practice RP battles.
It is a blown out ravine, with mountains on either side and black charred blast holes spattered out throughout the battlefield. On one side, there are sand colored barricades hiding the few humans surviving. This bottleneck is soon going to be the scene of a very bloody battle. If the humans fail here, Australia may be vulnerable.
Private Jimmy Patterson makes his way up a small slope hill. He posts himself down, gets into a good position to take sniper shots, but he cannot locate where the enemies are, or if there are even enemies.
"I need a spotter!" He yells.

Elidor runs up to the Private and jumps into a Prone position.
"All of our Spotters are injured or have been killed, but I can help you." Elidor turns on the zoom function in his Spartan helmet He sees an enemy group and checks the wind and length.
"Wind speed, 2 miles an hour. Targets 342 yards at your 3'o clock. Fire when ready."

Jimmy starts breathing deep. Should he tell the experienced Major beside him he has never actually been in a battle, much less shot at someone, whether human or not, or should he just keep calm and hide the fact? He decides to stay quiet, as it isn't relevant to the current battle, nor should he informally talk to the Major.
He looks down the line of barricades. He sees what Blueflame meant, as there were many casualties and many others injured. Also he noticed that very few people were in ready line or position. But he bets the sound of a rifle going off will shake them into attention.
Staring down the scope, the perspiration beads on his face. He takes a last deep breath, focuses on where the Major pointed out, adjusted for wind, aimed for the explosive air tank on the Elites back and pulled the trigger.

Minous stood, gun at the ready, aimed for the covenant attack force closing in on his "fortiefied position". As they got closer, Minous was momentarily blinded by something off in the hills. Just then, a shot, followed byy an explosion, triggered Minous's reflexes. He pulled a Frag, cooked it, lobbed it, and smiled as he heard a satisfiying boom and splat. "Haha! Man do I love that sound," he yelled to himself. Then he started firing on the Covenant.

After seeing sparks and popping sounds light up the 'fortiefications' with a rain of hot lead upon the covenant, and a stray yet destructive grenade thrown into the thick of their position, Jimmy turned his attention back to the battlefield. There still were some grunts and an elite in the position that he had fired at last, and the elite was taken out with a single shot. But the grunts ran around wildly, not allowing for an accurate lock to be made on them, but unwisely Jimmy fired again anyways, wasting a round in a plasma shield.

Minous ran up to each randomly retreating grunt and kicked them in the face. With 2 more deaths on Minous's shoulders, he looks up at Jimmy and give him a thumbs up.

Jimmy chuckled at the sight of grunts being crushed under the boots of a maniacal soldier. Not sure where any enemies were in the distance, under the darkness and fog, Jimmy ran back a few feet to an ammunition crate, loaded up, heaved it on his shoulders after bunking it up, and made a crazy decision.
Knowing the troops on the far line, like that madman who he had just seen, would run out of ammo soon and he was alone with this crate, he decided to advance up to the next hill, beside the next line: With the crate on his back.
He yelled out "COVER ME! I NEED COVERING FIRE IN A 5 COUNT!" he prepared to run.

Minous ran for cover and readied his weapon for supressive fire. "Ready," he yelled.

1..... Jimmy's mind was still shocked at his new impulsive side's decision. 2..... He had no thoughts but about what he was about to do. 3..... All of a sudden his brain kicked back in gear. 4..... "What the h*ll am I doing?!?" he said to himself. "Too late to change my mind." 5.....
He broke out running, suprised at the weight of the ammo crate, he saw some grunts with glowing plasma pistols aimed at him, but they were quickly distracted by gunfire laid down by that madman. Maybe he wasn't so mad.
He used his last bit of energy and sprinted, then dove into position at the line. The covenant were being pushed back, so the front line soldiers would soon moveup again to the next line. But first they would have ammo.
*EDIT* Sorry, wasn't sure. He said that he was laying down supressing fire, but I'm sorry anyways.

As Jimmy started running, Minous laid out a supressive fire. He actually gunned down a few grunts an an elite before he ran dry. As he reloaded, Jimmy had already made it to his destination. Then, he pulled and preped another Frag. He tossed it in front of the group, and killed the front jackels. The layer of smoke gave Minous the opportunity to run and take cover. He moved to a convieniently placed rock. He hid behind it, his postion now unknown to the enemy. He spoke over the COM, "Jimmy, your up. Bet ya ya cant get three before they see ya."

Jimmy's COM sparked to life. "Watch me" was his reply.
The spotter from before missing or dead, Jimmy took aim at a small group of jackals and grunts. There were an Elite and a grunt behind a jackal. Jimmy took at shot at the jackal, and shooting through the small hole at the edge of his shield, killed the jackal through the side of his chest. In the suprise the elite flashes for a split second out ofthis defensive position, and in this split second he is shredded by a bullet from Jimmy. The grunt is as easy as a hot fudge sundae to kill, and he falls easily, downed by a bullet.
Jimmy wants to prove himself further by taking out more people, but forgets that he needed to reload.

Minous, still hidden, says over his COM, "Looks like i owe you."
Minous pulls his third frag and tosses it backwards. As it explodes, three grunt bodies fly past the rock. With the Covenant confused, Minous jumped up and shot through a jackels unprotected chest. As it fell, a flurry of plasma wizzed past him. Minous fell back behind the rock.

"Sh*t!" Jimmy screamed, as he saw the madman showered in plasma grenade's plasma. Not knowing if he's alright, Jimmy first took a frag grade out of the ammo crate, and hurled it at a small group of grunts, one of which threw the grenade at the mysterious man.
After the grenade went off, and the grunts dispatched, Jimmy ran up to the stranger, and hiding behind the rock, safe for the moment, screamed over the gunfire "Da**it man, you alive?"

"Ha, you think that could stop me?" Minous dusted himself off. "Thank god for this rock." Plasma fire whizzed by thier heads. Minous turned and shot three grunts straight through the head and ducked back down behind the rock. "Hmmm....Battle Rifle...Frag...BR...Frag...." Minous tossed a frag, unpulled, into the crowd. The crowd scattered and ran.
