The Elites start to surround you and Jackal Snipers start to attack. You're losing men left and right, and there's another Phantom far off in the sky.
What are you going to do?

"Jim can u lay some cover fire while me and minous join that motorized infantry group." Retnuh gets ready to sprint across the ravine to help with the final charge.

Jimmy then learned that the previously thought 'dead' elited were just wounded. "D**n battle armor" thought Jimmy. Another clip into them finished that job. Just then, an armored vehicle roaded into the battlefield. A person quikly popper his head out, surveyed the situation, and then waited. Just then Jimmy's COM sparked to life. "Jim can u lay some cover fire while me and minous join that motorized infantry group." a voice said.
I looked and saw the old madman with some other marine, both pinned behind a wall with snipers trying to take them out.
"Sure, on a 10-count. Let me deal with those snipers."
A quick survey told of about 3 or 4 snipers, scattered.
By 5 seconds, Jimmy was able to take out three. It was all up to them now.

With the snipers thinned out somewhat, the time for 'cover' is past for Indigo. He summons his comrades and begins to advance past the fortified position, with a medium tank keeping the enemy light armor at bay. Only one way to go now: Forward to the enemy lines. Indigo occassionally takes aimed SMG shots at the enemy's disjointed response force, with limited success due to the distance still between them. Clearly, the real challenge will be their defense line.

Jimmy is picking off the enemies who are giving the convoy trouble.
Just then, a small group of phantoms fly from behind the mountains, and drop off about 20 elites, and 5 hunters.
"Oh sh*t! Our convoy isn't defensivly prepared!"
"Jimmy to armored group, Jimmy to armored group! Very heavy forces, dead ahead! Decide best COA (course of action) Immediately! Whether advancing or scrambling back, just do something! I'll hold 'em back for a while!" he said over the COM.

Upon hearing the warning, Indigo beckons to his unit:
"Alright, here it goes! We are not falling back, and anyone who tries will be gunned down as a deserter! Now give 'em hell! "
As the enemy force becomes visible, Indigo assumes crouching position and begins laying down fire on the tightly - packed honor guards. Even at this distance, some of the rounds are bound to hit something hostile. It's all simple in his mind: The closer the enemy get, the more often they get hit. The general idea is to weaken the elites before they get the upper hand.

[Admin: Jimmy, it would have been up to me to post how many dropped since I posted that there were some coming. But, I won't make you edit your post, just make it harder. There were gonna be 10 honor guards but instead you got 20 honor guards and 5 hunters....have fun!!!]

(IRL: Wow, I just added 10 honour guards and 1 hunter. Oh well, more fun. By the way, sorry I forgot about your Phantom's flying in I just figured more were.) "What are they doing?!?" Jimmy said, wondering why they didn't fall back to the last line. THeir leader must either be a lunatic, or one brave man. Jimmy tried helping them, but those honour guards took large ammounts of ammo to take down. Jimmy took the pin off of a grenade and hurled it into the thick, after pouring a clip of sniper ammo. "Wonder what that armored vehicle's gonna do?" thought Jimmy.

The battle has now evolved into a frontal slaughter of the worst kind with no place to hide. Even Indigo has to do his best not be riddled with bullets. He strafes the enemy wave with rapid SMG shots and is lucky enough not to be caught in the crossfire.
The tank performs a vital role in adding to the team's firepower, and takes mostly accurate shots at the advancing horde, while machinegunners provide suppressive fire.
Indigo now readies his own grenade and throws it at medium range, taking two honour guards and slowing down their whole formation.

Minous got a good look at a hunter. It charged right at him. "Damnit, im not a Spartan!" Minous rolled out of the way of the oncoming goliath. He then fired several bursts into the beast's unprotected midsection. This brought the Hunter crashing down to the earth, dead. "Ha, glad i listened during that lecture," he said to himself. Of course, Minous seemed to forget that once you kill one Hunter, its brother will be pissed. Minous saw the second Hunter runing toward him. "...holy-" Minous didnt even finish his own sentence. He ran with all his might.

Minous jumps forward as the grenades explode. Minous looks back through the smoke to see the hunter still charging at him. "Oh damn." Minous tried to think of what to do. In a wild act, he shot for the hunter's head. The first two shots missed, but the third hit. The hunter staggered, then continued to charge. Minous readied himself...

Indigo hates being pushed around, but you just don't come face to face with these giants and walk away in one piece. As the unit makes a fighting retreat, he mans the warthog's machinegun and fires onto another hunter with deadly accuracy. The main gun cripples its partner.
